Operating since 1997 in Harrisburg, the Appalachian Brewing Company has expanded to include the Abbey Bar, and brewpubs in Camp Hill and Gettysburg. Using natural ingredients and strict quality guidelines, the brewing company has turned out a good number of flagship brews including Trail Blaze Organic Brown Ale and Susquehanna Stout, as well as specialty beers brewed monthly like Hinterland Hefe Weizen and Outta Focus Double IPA.
Visit the Abbey Bar in Harrisburg and find a full menu to complement the in-house brews. Live music and other events including films and meetups are offered many nights of the week. For more interest in the actual process of brewing, tours are offered every Saturday at 1:00 p.m. If you still haven’t had enough, grab a six-pack to take home, or a 64 oz. Growler that can be returned for a refill!
