the Details:

Nockamixon State Park is located in Bucks County. Tohickon Creek, Three Mile Run and Haycock Run feed Lake Nockamixon, which is a rest stop for migrating waterfowl and a destination for boaters and anglers.

Boating is popular on Lake Nockamixon with marina slips in high demand. Canoes, motorboats, rowboats, paddleboats, kayaks and pontoon boats are available for rental. Timed whitewater releases from the dam provide a a whitewater experience for rafters twice a year. The paved bicycle trail accommodates bikers and pedestrians, fourteen miles of trails accommodate horseback riders, and there are an additional thirty-five miles of trails for hikers.

A swimming pool complex boasts water slides, fountains, and a snack bar. Swimming lessons and aerobics are offered as well. Picnicking is available in multiple areas of the park, and an 18-hole disc golf course is located near the children’s fishing pond.

For overnight stays, the Weisel Hostel is located in the northwest corner of the park. Otherwise there are ten modern cabins for year-round rental which include furnishings and electric heat.

Winter activities include ice skating, ice fishing, cross-country skiing and sledding.
