Lehigh Valley Zoo
Lehigh Valley Zoo is home to more than 200 animals representing 70 species – from African Penguins to Zebras. It is located in the Trexler Nature preserve, which was established in 1906. The zoo was contructed in 1974 – but only recently (2006) the operations were taken over by the Lehigh Valley Zoological Society.
The first exhibit you will find in this 29 acre zoo, is the penguin exhibit. There are daily feedings that you can watch as well.
The zoo was accredited in 2006 by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
