Peter J. McGovern Little League Museum
Even if you’ve never played baseball or watched a game, if there’s one museum you visit this year, this has to be the one.
The purpose of the Peter J. McGovern Little League Museum is to preserve the little league and the Little League World Series and to educate the public on the history of the little league.
This has been accomplished through a serious effort to obtain and exhibit artifacts and archive materials pertaining to the organization. These artifacts are organized for research and educational purposes and used in displays which can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
The museum re-opened after renovations kicking off a 14-month celebration of Little League’s 75th anniversary, culminating with the Little League Baseball World Series in August 2014. One of the oldest games played throughout the world.
