Thomas T. Taber Museum
Thomas T. Taber was always interested in history. As a young boy he discovered the railroad while walking home from school and stopped to talk to the railway men. After that he never looked back.
With money invested in stocks as he worked through College, then the Army and later marriage and raising a family,Thomas started funding worthwhile projects. Helping the Muncy School district, planting 157 trees downtown over 2 years.
When he retired he continued talking to people and learning about history. Everything he did was strictly as a volunteer. He said you couldn’t pay him to do what he loved.
The Lycoming County Historical Society, founded in 1907, is a historical museum, preserving the cultural heritage of Northcentral Pennsylvania. They are one of the benefactors of Thomas T. Taber.
